As we get ready to roll into September (how did that happen?!?!) the veggies are still going strong! We will have sweet corn at the stand today, as well as our vine ripened tomatoes, eggplant, watermelon and peppers. The you pick fields still have lots of tomatoes (not a TON of ripe ones, but they’re trying!), beans and sweet peppers, however the eggplant and hot chili peppers were almost picked clean last week! There are lots of small immature peppers, and a lot of blooms on the eggplant, so they aren’t done for the season, but they could use a little more time to get ready. We did get over 2″ of much needed rain this week so the fields are a little tacky and there might be some puddles in low spots, so if you’re coming for you pick, don’t wear your good shoes 😉 It’s a beautiful day to be on the farm! #shoplocal #localgrown #pataskalafarm #knowwhereyourfoodcomesfrom
